Location:
Alexander Range near Bishkek - Alamedin and Shamsi gorges, Passes Tuja-Ashu and Alabel Passes.
Date:

Collecting items:
8 species of Parnassius - apollo merzbacheri, apollonius gloriosus,
apollonius glaucopis, apollonius narynus, tianschanicus alexander, actius dubitabilis, delphius
namanganus, patricius uzungyrus, boedromius hohlbecki, boedromius sokolovi, mnemosyne
orientalis, mnemosyne valentina and 5 species of Colias - erate, cocandica pljushtchi,
staudingeri pamira, thisoa aeolides and romanovi, about 10 species of
Satyridae - mostly Erebia and Coenonympha, some Melitaea and other
Nymphalidae, two dozen species of Lycaenidae and Hesperidae, including
several rare taxa. Collecting of moths is very fabulous and productive. The area has
different primary biotops inhabited by numerous Geometridae, Noctuidae, Arctiidae etc.
Beetle fauna represented by various Carabidae and Cerambycidae, Buprestidae,
Scarabaeidae, Meloidae, Curculionidae and others, including hundreds endemic and rare species.
Accommodation:
Staying in a comfortable hotel at altitude 2,400 meters. Feeding in a restaurant.
Notes:
A minimum group size is not limited. This tour is very easy on physical conditions.
