Location:
Kaindy-Katta and Inylchek-Too Ranges in Eastern Kyrghyzstan - Kaindy Gorge, Sary-Dhaz River basin.
Date:
July 1-20.
Collecting items:
6 species of Parnassius - tianschanicus astrictio, actius ambrosius,
loxias tashkorensis, boedromius, delphius menander and patricius priamus,
5 species of Colias - staudingeri staudingeri, regia, thisoa aeolides, erate
and cocandica pljushtchi, about 20 species of Satyridae - mostly Paralasa,
Karanasa, Coenonympha, Erebia and Hyponephele, some Melitaea and other
Nymphalidae and dozen species of Lycaenidae and Hesperidae. This is probably a
single place over the world there you can REALLY pick up Parnassius loxias!
Moth and beetle fauna includes a many endemic and rare species.
Accommodation:
Staying in tents. The camp will be at altitude 2,700 meters.
Notes:
A minimum group size is three person.
